Payment terms are strictly as stated in the quotation provided by Solar Tint Wales. By accepting our quotation, you fully agree to these terms.
Credit account payments must be made within 30 days from the invoice date, overriding any alternative terms you may propose.
Solar Tint Wales reserves the right to modify payment terms or withdraw credit account facilities at its discretion, without prior notice.
All materials remain the property of Solar Tint Wales until full payment is received. We reserve the right to charge interest or late payment compensation on overdue sums, in addition to the cost of recovery.
Our quotations assume clean and clear access to all window panes during the site visit and that work will be carried out during normal office hours (unless otherwise stated).
All quotations are valid for 21 days and all prices quoted are subject to VAT.
All of our window films carry a manufacturer’s warranty. Please contact Solar Tint Wales if this information is required.
There is a minimal risk of thermal fracture of glass with all internal applications of solar control window film. A thermal stress analysis (glass checklist) can be performed to ensure compatibility. This assumes that glazing complies with BS6262 and is free of existing edge faults.
If Solar Tint Wales advises against installing window film and the client chooses to proceed, no claims can be made for any resultant glass breakage or damage.
Glass strength depends on quality and edge condition. As these factors are beyond our control, we cannot provide a warranty against breakage or damage of glazing.
Clients must ensure the area is clean and dust-free prior to installation and protect/remove furniture, furnishings, or documents. Solar Tint Wales will not be liable for any damage where we are not at fault or where the damage is unforeseeable or not due to our negligence.
Should we attend a site that is not suitably clean, the aborted site visit charge of £450.00 + VAT will apply.
There is a risk of glass breakage due to pressure during installation or the condition of older frames.
Removing existing film may result in glass damage. Solar Tint Wales is not liable for such damage where we are not at fault or where it is unforeseeable.
Window film typically cures within 30 days under normal conditions, but this can vary.
We are not liable for drying bubbles that appear before full curing. Warranty liability will not exceed the cost of replacement film and re-application.
Flat surface installations will not have the same visual quality as glass.
Visual inspection should be made from 2 metres in natural daylight (not direct sunlight) at right angles from the room side.
The installation is acceptable if the following are unobtrusive: dirt particles, haze, fibres, scratches, adhesive gels, distortion, fingerprints, creases, insects, bubbles, edge lift, nicks, or tears.
Edge gaps are usually 1–4mm. Splicing is necessary for large glass panels.
Where possible, installations will be completed by our own fully trained installers. In some cases, we may use fully authorised sub-contractors.
One-way privacy films depend on light balance and are effective when external light is stronger than internal light.
They do not provide privacy at night when lights are on indoors.
By accepting our quotation, you confirm you understand how these films function. No claims will be accepted for privacy concerns after installation.
Solar Tint Wales will not be held liable for glass breakage or damage post-installation, especially where units are later combined incompatibly.
Clients must ensure supplied glass is suitable for film application.
Handling, transportation, and safety of glass post-installation are the client’s responsibility. We are not liable for breakages once the glass has left our premises.
If untrained staff are present during collection, clients must ensure adequate assistance is provided for safe handling.
Clients must ensure artwork and specifications are correct before production.
Solar Tint Wales will provide proofs for approval. Once approved, clients accept full responsibility for errors.
Post-approval changes may incur additional charges.
Production times start from proof approval. We will not be liable for delays caused by events beyond our control.
If you choose to purchase and install our films yourself:
Your glazing should conform to BS6262 and BS8000. Defects like damaged edges may cause cracking, which is not our responsibility.

Smart films use electrical components to switch states.
Data Jammer Films may block wireless signals, but results can vary. We strongly recommend an orientation test before installation.
By accepting the quotation, the client acknowledges no claims will be accepted if the film does not function as intended.
You have the right to cancel this contract within 14 calendar days of receiving this notice. Cancellations must be communicated in writing or by email. Notice is effective from the date of posting or sending.
To cancel, you MUST do so in writing and deliver personally or send by email to: info@solartintwales.co.uk
If you agree in writing for work to begin within the 14-day cancellation period and later cancel, you may be required to pay for any work already completed or materials used.
